De Sectie Cultuur, Kunst en Literatuur (SKAL) organiseert in samenwerking met de Stichting Monumentenzorg Bonaire, in verband met de Internationale Monumentendag, een interessante lezing over het tastbaar erfgoed van Bonaire, in dit geval de monumenten.
Deze lezing vindt plaats op zaterdag 28 september in de conferentiezaal van Captain Don’s Habitat om 19:00 uur. De lezing wordt gegeven door dhr Herson Martinus en is helemaal gratis. Gebaseerd op deze lezing gaan wij interessante projecten lanseren die te maken hebben met bewustwording in verband met onze monumenten.

De Monumentendag is een dag waarop veel aandacht gevestigd wordt op ons monumentale erfgoed, vooral op het gedeelte van bewustwording waarbij wij aandacht besteden aan de waarde die onze monumenten hebben voor ons erfgoed en onze geschiedenis.
De Afdeling Cultuur nodigt iedereen die interesse heeft uit om deel te nemen aan de prijsvraag en de lezing over de monumenten van Bonaire.

De Association of Museums & Heritage of Curaçao organiseert elk jaar een ‘Museum Weekend‘, waarbij de aangesloten musea een kans krijgen zich te profileren bij een breed publiek. Er wordt ook altijd gezorgd voor leuke en leerzame activiteiten voor de jeugd, prijsvragen en meer. De actuele informatie over dit evenement is onder andere beschikbaar op hun Facebook pagina.
In 2024 vind het evenement plaats van 17 – 19 mei.
