In 2006/ 2007 Stichting Monumentenzorg Curaçao commissioned the production of a short movie about monuments on Curaçao to stimulate historical awareness and conservation.

The movie highlights several important monuments and offers context in which to see them, using images of Soublette & Fils, information from the Encyclopedia of the Netherlands Antilles, interviews, and various other sources.

The movie was written, directed, shot, and edited by Gerry Rafaela, with narration by Genesis Rafaela. It features some dramatized scenes of historical events and daily life.
