Stichting Monumentenzorg Curaçao – Curaçao Heritage Foundation – was founded in 1954. The private foundation is the oldest and largest organization in the field of preservation of monuments in the former Netherlands Antilles. She has over the years been a great stimulator for the preservation of the built heritage.
Les Fruits de Mer is a non-profit association based in Grand Case, Saint Martin, dedicated to promoting awareness of the island’s unique ecology, culture, and heritage. Their mission focuses on educating both locals and visitors about the natural environment through various initiatives.
Aruba
Cas di Cultura is Aruba’s National Theater and Cultural Center since 1958. The organization focused on cultural and artistic education. By doing so, Cas di Cultura hopes to further engage the Aruban community, particularly the younger generation, to admire, preserve and share Aruba’s culture and the arts in general.

Fundashon Pro Monumento organizes the 2017 edition of Monumento Habrí (Open Monumentday). The year 2017 is special because in December it will be twenty years ago that Willemstad has been placed on Unesco’s World Heritage List. This year’s Monumento Habrí will take place in Punda.
Ser'i Otrobanda
This is the 2004 edition of the brochures published by the Pro Monument Foundation (ProMo) whenever a Monumento Habrí (Open Monumentday) is organized. Nearly all te historic buildings that are opened to the public on the occasion of Monumento Habrí 2004, have been built on the former hinterland of the Westwerf. These grounds, which were hardly built on round 1860, stretched westward from the St. Anna Bay, and were situated to the north of the present Frederikstraat.

Pietermaai Smal
The premises that will be open to the public on the occasion of ‘Monumento Habrí’ (Open Monument Day), for the greater part are situated on the isthmus that in those days connected Willemstad with the rest of the island. Here ‘Pietermaai Smal’ (Narrow Pietermaai) originated in the 18th and 19th century. The area in which the houses are opened rund from the Theaterstraat up to and including the Johan van Walbeeckplein.
Terramar Museum is a historical and archaeological museum in the center of Kralendijk, Bonaire. It presents Bonaire’s history and cultural heritage through archaeological and anthropological research, as well as art and education.

The Christoffel National Park is the largest and most biodiverse park on the island. This walking tour guide will take us from the waterfront, up the Bay Path, through the major sites in the town to the St. Eustatius Historical Foundation Museum, one of the best in the Caribbean.
Experience the historic city on your own by strolling through the town centre with this architectural guide. In it you will find an eastern and a western walking tour, both starting at St. Anna Bay near the Queen Emma pontoon-bridge. The eastern tour will guide you through the oldest part of Willemstad, nowadays called Punda, and through a small part of the Scharloo district. The length of this route is about 21/4 km. The western tour takes you through the Otrobanda district, on the other side of St. Anna Bay. The length of this route is about 2 km.
The Sint Maarten National Heritage Museum has developed a scavenger hunt in Philipsburg that takes participants along the most iconic monumental buildings of the old inner city. This scavenger hunt is ideal for groups of 3 – 6 people and can be offered as a competition for up to 8 teams simultaneously.

The Island of Saba a Caribbean example
In this book ‘The Monuments of Saba – The Island of Saba a Caribbean example’ the author, architect and lecturer Frans H. Brugman, gives a rather accurate description of the typical traditional Saban architecture. He emphasizes the characteristic red-and-white painted cottages and avails ample information regarding their origin, relation, and development. It is to regret that the future of these small traditional wooden cottages, which were built since the seventeenth century, is at stake.

Saba’s Harry Luke Johnson Museum is appropriately located in an original Saban cottage in Windwardside. It stands in the middle of a beautiful romantic garden in landscape style, which is used as a public park for picnics, in the past also for Sunday croquet games, and Easter egg hunts.
