Dutch Caribbean Digital Platform (DCDP)

Beschrijving

The Dutch Caribbean Digital Platform (DCDP) is an open-access digital library that provides access to historical, cultural, and educational resources from the six islands of the former Netherlands Antilles: Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius, and St. Maarten. Managed by the Library and Research Services of the University of Curaçao (UoC), the platform aims to preserve and promote the Dutch Caribbean’s multilingual heritage through digitized books, photographs, music recordings, oral histories, and academic publications.

DCDP brings together content from partner institutions such as the Mongui Maduro Library, the Palm Music Foundation, the Fundashon pa Planifikashon di Idioma, NAAM, and the University of Puerto Rico, and also includes curated collections from Leiden University Libraries and the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV).

The platform supports education, research, and cultural preservation and is accessible to scholars, educators, and the general public.
