Doel van dit jubileumboek is vooral het vastleggen van informatie over het monument en de restauratie. Informatie die snel vervaagt en in de vergetelheid raakt. In dit eerste deel zijn alle restauratieprojecten opgenomen die tussen 1994 en 1998 zijn opgeleverd en (mede) gefinancierd werden door Stichting Monumentenfonds Curaçao. Dat in deze periode nagenoeg 60 projecten werden voltooid, toont de grote betekenis van het Fonds op het gebied van de monumentenzorg.

‘Monumenten op de Nederlandse Antillen: Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten’ biedt een uitgebreid overzicht van het monumentale erfgoed op de vijf eilandgebieden van de voormalige Nederlandse Antillen. Het werk documenteert een grote verscheidenheid aan historische bouwwerken en locaties: van koloniale landhuizen en kerken tot forten, archeologische vindplaatsen en karakteristieke volksarchitectuur.

Fundashon Pro Monumento (ProMo) is een in 1993 opgerichten onafhankelijke stichting. ProMo stelt zich ten doel op te komen voor het behoud van en de zorg voor de historische bebouwing op Curaçao in de ruimste zin des woords.
De Monumento habrí ’95 zal plaatsvinden in de Hoogstraat en het L.B Smithplein te Otrobanda.

For the fifth time the Fundashon Pro Monumento organizes the biannual Monumento Habrí (Open Monument Day). On Sunday June 3rd. 2001 the attention will be focused on a part of Otrobanda (Langestraat, Ijzerstraat, de Rouvilleweg, Havenstraat and Hoogstraat).

For the sixth time the Fundashon Pro Monumento organizes the biannual Monumento Habrí (Open Monument Day). On Sunday May 18th, 2003 the attention will be focused on Scharloo Abou.

This is the 2004 edition of the brochures published by the Pro Monument Foundation (ProMo) whenever a Monumento Habrí (Open Monumentday) is organized. Nearly all te historic buildings that are opened to the public on the occasion of Monumento Habrí 2004, have been built on the former hinterland of the Westwerf. These grounds, which were hardly built on round 1860, stretched westward from the St. Anna Bay, and were situated to the north of the present Frederikstraat.

The premises that will be open to the public on the occasion of ‘Monumento Habrí’ (Open Monument Day), for the greater part are situated on the isthmus that in those days connected Willemstad with the rest of the island. Here ‘Pietermaai Smal’ (Narrow Pietermaai) originated in the 18th and 19th century. The area in which the houses are opened rund from the Theaterstraat up to and including the Johan van Walbeeckplein. 

This Open Day aims to enable the Curaçao public to get acquainted with and to enjoy the natural beauty and historic buildings in this area. This brochure includes exciting and interesting (hiking) trail for visitors, full of information about the area.

For the tenth time te Fundashon Pro Monumento organizes te Monumento Habrí (Open Monument Day). On Sunday November 4th, 2012 the attention will be focused on the Area di Kurá di Otrobanda (Coral Area).

Fundashon Pro Monumento organizes the 2017 edition of Monumento Habrí (Open Monumentday). The year 2017 is special because in December it will be twenty years ago that Willemstad has been placed on Unesco’s World Heritage List. This year’s Monumento Habrí will take place in Punda.

Monumento Habri ’22 (Open Monument Day ’22) will take place in Otrobanda’s Reef Area. Reef (Rif) is located between Breedestraat and Pater Euwensweg and roughly east of the (former) St. Elisabeth Hospital and west of the Juliana Bridge ramp, the Arubastraat.

Museum Cas Tan Tin is a cultural institution located in Aruba, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the island’s rich history and heritage. The museum is housed in a traditional ‘Cunucu House’, where you can enjoy the way the people used to live in Aruba at the beginning of the 20th Century.
