‘Penha Building 300 Years’ is a bilingual (Dutch and English) photo book by author and photographer Els Kroon, published in 2008 to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the iconic Penha building in Willemstad, Curaçao. The book, consisting of 144 pages, offers a richly illustrated exploration of the history, architecture, and cultural significance of this monumental landmark. With both historical and contemporary photographs, accompanied by informative texts, it highlights the evolution of the Penha building and the family associated with it. The first copy was presented to Governor Frits Goedgedrag during a ceremony in the palace garden.
‘Penha Building 300 Years’ is een tweetalig (Nederlands en Engels) fotoboek van auteur en fotograaf Els Kroon, gepubliceerd in 2008 ter gelegenheid van het 300-jarig jubileum van het iconische Penha-gebouw in Willemstad, Curaçao. Het boek biedt een rijk geïllustreerde verkenning van de geschiedenis, architectuur en culturele betekenis van dit monumentale pand. Met zowel historische als recente foto’s, aangevuld met informatieve teksten, belicht het de evolutie van het Penha-gebouw en de familie die ermee verbonden is. Het eerste exemplaar werd aangeboden aan gouverneur Frits Goedgedrag tijdens een ceremonie in de paleistuin.
