Op Curaçao wordt jaarlijks wordt op 2 juli ‘Dia di Himno i Bandera’ (‘Dag van het Volkslied en de Vlag’ ) gevierd. Op deze dag wordt op veel plaatsen de vlag van Curaçao uitgehangen en zijn er veel programma’s op de lokale televisie aan deze dag gewijd.
Dia di Pais Kòrsou, gevierd op 10 oktober, markeert de dag waarop Curaçao in 2010 een autonoom land werd binnen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden. Deze feestdag herdenkt de historische verandering die het eiland een eigen regering en meer zelfstandigheid gaf, terwijl het een deel bleef van het koninkrijk.
