Sinds 1996 houdt Stichting Monumentenfonds Aruba (SMFA) zich bezig met de financiering van restauratie en onderhoud, het beheer en de exploitatie van beschermde monumenten, en fungeert als financiële instelling op het gebied van erfgoedbehoud. Het SMFA bevordert bewustwording rondom monumenten en draagt bij aan het vergroten van het besef van de waarde van het architectonisch cultureel erfgoed bij zowel inwoners als bezoekers van Aruba. Het SMFA streeft naar het bevorderen van duurzaamheid in de uitvoering en het beheer van haar projecten.
Since 1996 the Monuments Fund of Aruba is engaged in the financing of restoration and maintenance, management and operation of protected monuments and is the financial institution on the field of heritage conservation. SMFA promotes awareness of monuments and contributes to the awareness of the value of the architectural cultural heritage to both residents and visitors of the country of Aruba.
