The Museo di Tamb\u00fa Shon Cola is a cultural space dedicated to the history, tradition, and living heritage of tamb\u00fa on Cura\u00e7ao. Named after Shon Cola, one of the island\u2019s most respected tamb\u00fa masters, the museum preserves and shares the rhythms, instruments, stories, and social significance of this Afro-Cura\u00e7aoan musical form. Through exhibitions, community programs, and live demonstrations, the museum highlights tamb\u00fa as both a historical expression of resilience and a vibrant contemporary cultural practice. It serves as a place of education, remembrance, and celebration, keeping the spirit and knowledge of tamb\u00fa alive for future generations.<\/p>\n

Museo di Tamb\u00fa Shon Cola, the Tamb\u00fa Museum, was founded on the 12th of December 2021 by the Stripan Foundation, presided by Mr. dr. Ren\u00e9 Rosalia. He led a committee of culturalists to realize it. The contents of the museum come from the scientific study of Mr. dr. Ren\u00e9 Rosalia titled in Dutch \u201cDe legale en kerkelijke repressie van afrokulturele volksuitingen\u201d [1996] and the Papiamentu version titled \u201dRepreshon di kultura\u201d\/\u201cE lucha di tamb\u00fa\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Tamb\u00fa Museum Shon Cola is a guided museum that revives the history and customs displayed.<\/div>\n
