Op 18 maart wordt de officiële introductie in 1976 van de Arubaanse vlag en het Arubaanse volkslied in het Wilhelmina Stadion in Dakota herdacht. Sinds 1985 is 18 maart officieel een vrije dag op Aruba. De vieringen op deze dag bestaan uit een ceremoniële plechtigheid\, gevolgd door verschillende activiteiten en culturele manifestaties in alle wijken van het eiland. Daarnaast openen musea en monumenten hun deuren gratis voor het publiek. \nDay of the Anthem and the Flag is the national day of Aruba. On March 18\, the official introduction of the Aruban flag and the Aruban national anthem in Wilhelmina Stadium\, Dakota\, in 1976 is commemorated.
